Show WITNESS MARRIAGE OF SON Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Ras-mussen Ras-mussen went to Salt Lake City last Sunday to witness the marriage mar-riage of their son, Lynn, and Miss Verlie Stanley, on Monday. They returned home Wednesday, John Smith, of Ve.rnal, who has been working at the Alterra school, cut his arms badly last Thursday. E. C: Coston took him to Roosevelt for medical care. Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle, accompanied by Mrs. S. B. Kettle Ket-tle ,took their son, Douglas, to Salt Lake City on Wednesday, Wednes-day, Aug. 15, for medical care. Mrs. Fred Peck took care of the rest of the family at the Kettle Ket-tle residence during the parents absence. The Rhythm Wranglers ftaye made two trips recently to play for dances at Cedar Fort, Mrs. Keith Snyder and three children, of Altonah, visited two days last week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs, Charles Bingham. Squire Mangum is now employed em-ployed as one of the custodians at Union High School. Mrs. Leland Angus took care of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Timothy's Tim-othy's four children while their parents enjoyed a fishing- trip, F. O. Lundberg, of Tooele, spent last Monday at Independence Indepen-dence visiting with his sons. Mrs. Leora Hullinger, of Vernal, Ver-nal, visited Thursday at the home of Mrs. Jesse Hullinger. Mrs. Hullinger recently underwent under-went a major operation. We are. still enjoying square dancing at the chapel each Thursday evening. Come and join us. E. J. Nixon, bishop of the Roosevelt second ward, was a speaker at Sacrament meeting Sunday. Aug. 12. W. Russel Todd also gave a short discourse on seminary work, M.I.A. meeting was held Monday Mon-day evening and plans were made for the coming winter's work. Mr. and Mrs. Dahl Christensen and family, of Oakland, Calif., have been recent visitors at the home of Mrs. Christensen's sister sis-ter and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Parrish. |
