Show itaateyr Tryoyis For Legion Show Is Hov. 2nd The big community show "On Stage America," using a large cast of local people, will hold try-outs for outstanding acts who wish to compete for the valuable prizes which will be awarded winners of the amateur ama-teur contest that is part of the production. These try-outs will be held Monday, Nov. 2nd, at the Legion Leg-ion hall, at 7:30 p.m. If you have friends, relatives or neighbors who can sing, dance, play musical instruments or do impersonations, you are urged to see that they attend the try-out. The show will be staged next Nov. 5 and 6 at the Roosevelt stake house. In case it is not convenient for talent to appear at the time set for try-outs on Nov. 2, a special try-out will be given the interested amateurs if they will contact the director, Miss Lorraine Lor-raine Lewis at Mrs. Axel Birch's residence, phone 1. This big musical minstrel revue, re-vue, "On Stage America," is being sponsored by American Legion, Basin Post No. 64, for the benefit of the Teen-Age Canteen. Baby Coniest A baby contest will be held in conjunction with the production. produc-tion. The entrants in this con-test con-test to select the King and Queen, the Prince and Princess and Duke and Duchess of Toy-land Toy-land and are the small fry of the town. Boys and girls under six years of age are eligible for this popularity contest. The polling poll-ing places for them are located in the stores of leading merchants. merch-ants. All children will be introduced intro-duced to the audience of "On Stage America" and there will be a special coronation ceremony cere-mony on the last night of the show when the winners who have polled the largest number of votes will receive crowns and loving cups. This Tiny Tot Contost is not a beauty or health contest, it is a popularity contest for the citizens of tomorrow. There is no entrance fee and the children chil-dren do not have to have rehearsals re-hearsals or special costumes.
