Bill Edwards who is taking I his basic training at Camp Kearns before entering his training for photography spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer P Edwards. Ed-wards. Lt. Miles Dillman Is spending a few days on leave at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray E. Dillman, before leaving for his assignment for active service. Impresseive funeral services were conducted Monday at two o'clock in the Roosevelt Chapel for Frank M. Orser , 81 years old who died Saturday morning at seven o'clock following a short illness. The services were under the direction of Bishop Horace J. Ritchie. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Perry announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, Helen, to Clyde Wal-quist, Wal-quist, son of Mrs. A. J. Walquist of Ballard. 20 Years Ago Mrs. Mary Orser and Mrs. Kate Killian of the Roosevelt Stake Relief Society board returned re-turned home Wednesday from a week's stay in Salt Lake City where they attended a school given by the general board of the Relief Society. Complimentary to her cousin, John Smith of California, who is visiting relatives in Roosevelt, Miss Lavoyle Wilkins assisted by Florence Larsen, entertained with a waffle party at her home on Thursday night. Heber T. Hall has moved his family into' the C. I. Johnson home which has recently undergone under-gone many improvements. E. H. Strobel and Assistant A. E. Paulik, of the installation department, Western Electric Company, came in Sunday from Salt Lake City. On Monday they commenced the installation of the telephone equipment in the new building of the Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph Company. Mr. Strobel expects to complete the work in 2 months. |
