Show Bride-To-Be Is Feted At Shower The lovely ranch home of Mrs. S. F. Mortensen, Sr. on North Myton Bench, was the scene of a bridal shower Sunday Sun-day afternoon, when her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Jack Nielsen, and Mrs. Paul Ward assisted by Mrs. Myrtle Nielsen, acted as hostesses hos-tesses complimentary to Miss Shirley Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer, of Bridgeland. Miss Meyer will become the bride of S. F. Mortensen, Jr. next month. About twenty-five guests were present to extend good wishes to the bride-to-be, who was the recipient of many lovely gifts. Games furnished diversion during the afternoon and delicious refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck entertained at dinner, Sunday. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. George Olsen, of Midvale; Mrs. Levi Mortensen, Mrs. Carl Wool-sey Wool-sey and Mrs. Roy Hudson, all of Salt Lake City. The group later attended the bridal shower show-er honoring .Miss Shirley Meyer Mey-er at the S. F. Mortensen home. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Giles are enjoying a visit from their son, F. N. Wm. (Billie) Giles, who is home on leave from Los Beach, Calif., where he is stationed, serving in the U. S. Navy. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Monks are the proud parents of a baby daughter, born Thursday, Oct. 22nd at the Roosevelt Hospital. , The little Miss has a young brother, who eagerly awaits the arrival home of his new sister. Visitors at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dart are their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Dart, who arrived last week from Long Beach, Calif., where "Bill" is serving in the U. S. Navy and is now home on leave. Other guests are their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Suchey, of Denver, who came for a short visit while Bill is home on leave. I |
