Show Municipal Confab To Discuss Reapportionment With the accent on education, the controversial legislative reapportionment re-apportionment issue will be included in-cluded on the program of the , 47th annual Utah Municipal League Convention Sept. 16, 17 and 18 in Salt Lake City, Mayor May-or James N. According to Tom McCoy, executive ex-ecutive secretary of the league, the reapportionment question will be discussed strictly on the basis of presenting facts and information in-formation on the issue before the convention delegates. Sen. Dilworth S. Wooley of Salt Lake County will be invited in-vited to share the speakers platform plat-form with Rep. Kleon Kerr, Box Elder County, at the breakfast break-fast session for officials of the cities of the first and second class. These include Salt Lake City, Ogden, Provo, Logan and Murray. Official! of some 85 third class cities in the state will hear addresses by Merrill K. Davis, Speaker of the House and Rep. Glair R. Hopkins, Uintah County. Speakers to appear before officials of-ficials from other towns of the state are Rep. Wendell Grover, Salt Lake and Welby W. Young, Wasatch County. Other vital subjects to. come before the convention sessions include the Central Utah Echo Park project, trends in American Ameri-can government ait home and abroad, licensing of itinerant merchants, care and maintenance mainten-ance of municipal cemetries and cemetery districts, taxation, law enforcement, recreation and roads. |
