Show LA POINT .. Mrs. Mable Jenkins A Family Reunion The Amosa Mason Lyman, Jr. family reunion was held Aug. 22 at Merkley Park. A program was given. Ladies challenged the; men in a baseball game. A delicious dinner was served to' the 50 people in attendance. The new officers are: Mrs. Geneva Gen-eva Fieldsted, president; Rex Taylor, vice president, and Bar ta Jenkins, secretary. Mr. and Mrs. Arden Hacking and son, David, visited Mrs. Lydia Neilson, of Myton last Sunday. Her mother accompanied accompan-ied her home for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Harrison Harri-son and family, of Bingham Canyon, visited Mr. Harrison's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Tuesday Tues-day evening. Mr. Harrison has bought a new home in Kearns and will move there soon. Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Harrison Har-rison took their daughter, Ra-mona, Ra-mona, to Provo Tuesday morning, morn-ing, where she will teach school the coming year. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Phiffer and-son went to Salt Lake City to Visit Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Justice and family and Mrs. Martha Johnson and children, I of Bountiful. Mrs. Clair Burton was called on a business trip to Denver last week. Accompanying her were her daughter and family. Mr. and Mrs. Tranes Neilson, On their way home they stopped stop-ped in Meeker, Colo, and visited vis-ited Mrs. Burton's cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Warren. LEAVES FOR SCHOOL Mr. and Mrs. Elmer( Dutch) Huber went to Ogden, Monday, to' take their son, Doyal, to attend at-tend Weber College this coming year. They were guests of a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. , Berlin Jensen, and daughter, of Brigham City, and returned home Tuesday. Mrs. Ruby Steel and children of Rangely, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Perry and Children, of Portland, Oregon, are guests of their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Foster. Mrs. Mable Jenkins, Mrs. George Allred and Mrs. Dona Hartle, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Huber are grandparents of a grandson born to Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Huber, Sept. 3, at the Roosevelt Roose-velt Hospital. Verl Bodiry is home from Tokyo, Japan. He has received his discharge. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Rasmussen over the weekend were Mr. arid Mrs. Lawrence Morrill and daughter, of Logan; Mr. . and Mrs. Acel 'Haslem and children, of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Young and sons, of Randlett; Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Glines, of Orem. Mrs. Morrill and daughter will spend a week with her parents, while Mr. Morrill returned to Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Rasmussen Rasmus-sen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Rile Blackburn left Wednesday on their vacation to Kaysville and other towns in Southern Utah. ' Mrs. Vera Bigelow and Ear-lene Ear-lene Warburton are caring for the store while Mr. and Mrs. Ad Kum.p and girls, Linda and Gene are gone on their vacation through Southern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Hor-ro'cks Hor-ro'cks and Nellie Rich, of Bennett, Ben-nett, were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins last week. Mr. and 'Mrs. Lynn Huber, Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Walker. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hoops spent a few days in Salt Lake City. The value of the Arkansas cotton cot-ton crop last year was more than 300 million dollars. |
