Show Grid Schedule Is Approved For Region lumber 5 The previously announced football game Union had scheduled sched-uled with Olympus High of Salt Lake City was canceled and in its place the Cougars will meet Wasatch High at Heber City on Sept. 24. Other games on the pre-season docket will be pay-son pay-son at Payson, Sept. 11; Carbpn High at Union, on either Sept. 16 or 18 (date confirmation awaited from Price). According to Coach Sarkis Arslainian, he is attempting to pick up at least one more home game in addition to the regularly regular-ly scheduled league contests with Uintah and Moab. They have an open date on Oct. 15. The complete schedule for league play is as follows: Sept. 24 Uintah at Moab; Union, bye. Oct. I Union at Uintah; Moab, bye. Oct. 8 Moab at Union, Uintah, Uin-tah, bye. Oct. 15 Moab at Uintah; Union, bye. Oct. 22 Uintah at Union; Moab, bye. Oct. 29 Union at Moab, Uintah, Uin-tah, bye. Coaches, officials, football fans and players joined in the annual football clinic at Union High last night, under the direction di-rection of Horace Rose, executive execu-tive secretary of the Utah High School Activities Association. Changes in rules, and training for officials occupied most of the time of the clinic, with some time being devoted to discussing dis-cussing football problems that might be encountered by players, play-ers, coaches, officials and even fans. |
