Show SLUMBER PARTY Doris Allred celebrated her 14th birthday anniversary Friday Fri-day night, Aug. 27th. with a slumber party at her home. Supper Sup-per and breakfast were served. Those attending were Laura ; Carroll. Cleo Clark, Alta and Bonnie Ames, Coralie Maxfield, Janis Allred and the guest of honor. Judy and Ted Clark are visiting vis-iting in Duchesne with their sister, sis-ter, Mrs Delmar Ivie for a few j days. I Word was received in Alton-ah Alton-ah this week of the death of I Mrs. Ellen Burgess, 87, of Price. Mrs. Burgess was a long-time ! resident of Altonah and was a faithful church worker. She died at her home, Saturday, Aug. 28. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Sept. 1, in Price. Burial was in the Wellington cemetery. Those from Altonah attending I the services were Mr. and Mrs.-I Mrs.-I Glen Burgess and Glendon Maxfield. Max-field. Floyd Case, of Mt. Emmons, was in Altonah on business Friday. Fri-day. Mrs. Claude Murray gave a party Wednesday, Sept. 1st in honor of her daughter, Joan's 4th birthday anniversary Guests were, Leslie Maxfield, Susan Fisher, Sandra Timothy, Nor-'man Nor-'man Maxfield, Kent Maxfield, Mrs. Mable Maxfield and the Claude Murray family. Games and refreshments were enjoyed by those present. Tuesday night, Aug. 31, the stake Junior M Men and Junior Jun-ior Gleaners sponsored Moon Light Capers. Invited guests were the stake Mia Maids and Explorers. Dancing and sandwiches, sand-wiches, hot chocolate and cookies cook-ies were enjoyed by a large group. Those from Altonah attending at-tending were: Cleo Clark, Ruth Allred, Carma Christensen, Alta Ames, Sharlene Young, their teacher, Mrs. Margaret Maxfield, Coralie Maxfield, Bonnie Ames, Doris Allred, Laura Carroll, their teacher, Mrs. Alaro Kolb, Mrs. Heneritta Carroll, Jack Carroll, Don Carroll, Stewart Allred. Cliff Clark, Bob Allred, Ronald Powell, Kenneth, and Rex Allred and Ty Kolb. Mrs. Alora Kolb and Etholene Burton Bur-ton are the stake dance directors. direct-ors. Mrs. Ernest Tomasini, of Salt Lake City, and Charlotte Newman, New-man, of Bountiful, arrived Wednesday Wed-nesday to visit a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Riley. Mrs. Tomasini is Mrs. Riley's mother and Charlotte is a niece. They returned home Sunday with Mrs. Art Newman, of Bountiful, who spent Sunday with the Rileys. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Smith and family, of Kaycee, Wyoming, Wyom-ing, are here visiting the later's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith, and to get their daughter, daugh-ter, Maxine, who has been visiting vis-iting her grandparents for two months. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen and Johnnie Smith spent the weekend week-end visiting in Price. |
