Show County Cuts Tan Levy By Nine Mills Over Last Year Total general tax levy for Duchesne county for 1954 is 30.95 mills, representing nearly a 9.00 mill decrease over the 39.85 levy last year. This tax levy annonucement was made by Porter L. Merrell, County clerk and ex-officio auditor, following approval of all taxing unit levies as presented pre-sented to the State Tax Commission Com-mission by Duchesne County taxing units. The 30.95 mill levy is made up of the 10.95 county levy and the 20.00 local school levy. No state taxes were levied for Duchesne County taxpayers for 1954. Levies for city and town properties in Duchesne County will be as follows: 30.95 plus 12.00 for Altamont; 30.95 plus 26.00 for Duchesne; 30.95 plus 29.00 for Myton; 30.95 plus 30.00 for Roosevelt; Roose-velt; 30.95 plus 8.00 for Tabiona. Total county general levy for 1950 was 41.20 mills, and for 1952 it was 33.90 mills. |
