Show NO-HOST NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY It was an evening of much fun and hilarity when a large group assembled at the Frontier : Grill to usher in the New Year Sunday night. W.M.S, CHRISTMAS PARTY The annual event looked forward for-ward to with much anticipation is the W.M.S. Christmas party, which was held for the third consecutive year at the hqme I of Mr6. Olga Halen, on Thursday, Thurs-day, December 21. Arrangements for the gala affair were under the direction of the social committee composed com-posed of Opal Dillman, Juanita McClure and Ora Coston. Enjoying the evening' of fun were the follownig: Essie Dean, Cora Johnson, Ruth Butcher, Frances Perryman, Paula Winn, Minnie Workman, Dorothy Mc-Cullough, Mc-Cullough, Rose Schurlock, Dorothy Dor-othy Schurlock, Wanda Trujillo, Wilaford Swisher, Jennie Haddock, Had-dock, Anna Norman, Imogene Fields, Reva Roberts. Juanita McClure and Opal Dillman. i NEW YEAR'S DINNER Climaxing the holiday season gaiety for the Killian family-was family-was a dinner at the Clinton Killign home on New Year's day which complimented the following fol-lowing family group: Mrs, Lola Richens, Mrs. Reva Re-va Owen and son, Dick; Mr, and Mrs. Max Owen and daughters, daugh-ters, Maxine and Susan; Mr. i and Mrs. Grant Killian and sons, Glen and Don; Mr. and j Mrs. Mont Killian and son, Bobby; Lynn Johnstun and son, Karl, and Mrs. Rella Fieldsted. The dinner table was centered cen-tered with a beautiful arrangement arrange-ment of holly. FORT DUCHESNE HOSTS Congregating to ring in the New Year and see the Old Year out at the home of Mr. and Mrs. ; Martin Curtis, in Fort Duchesne, I were Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hancock, Han-cock, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Angus and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Killian, all of Roosevelt. - Canasta was played and a luscious midnight luncheon i served. I HOSTS ENTERTAIN A lovely arranged buffet luncheon and Canasta comprised the evening's entertainment at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Bellon, Monday night, when the following group of guests were present: Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Cook, Mr.' and Mrs. Clem Labrum, Mr. and Mrs. Marvell Neilson and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nelson. BRIDGE CLUB HOSTESS Playing hostess Wednesday evening to her club group was Mrs. Paul Wilkins. Her guest list included Mrs. Fred Ferron, Mrs. Vean Bair, Mrs. Wayne Malin, Mrs. Ray Jordan, Mrs. Sam Weiss, Mrs. Howard Harrison, Har-rison, Mrs. J. V. McLea, Mrs. Gordon Harmston, Mrs. Eugene Eu-gene Harmston and club guests, Mrs. Earl Dillman, Mrs. Irene Fretwell and Mrs. Paul String-ham. String-ham. Bright Christmas decorations lent a seasonal aspect to the mid-holiday party, highlighted by a delicious dessert luncheon and bridge. Prize winners included in-cluded Mrs. Wayne Malin, Mrs. Ray Jordan, Mrs. Jack McLea Mrs. Sam Weiss and Mrs. Earl Dillman. HOSTS SATURDAY Hosts at a lovely arranged holiday party last Saturday night were Mr. and Mrs. Ther-on Ther-on Leavitt, who entertained informally in-formally for fourteen guests. Rook was played and a delectable delec-table midnight luncheon served. NEIGHBORHOOD SEWING Regular members were in attendance at-tendance Wednesday, December 27, to enjoy an evening of sewing sew-ing and visiting with their hostess, host-ess, Mrs. George Hacking. A tasty dessert luncheon was served serv-ed at the conclusion of the social so-cial hour. NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY An evening of gaiety and festivity fes-tivity was enjoyed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Garth Gardner New Year's eve, when a group of friends convened to watch the Old Year out and ring in the New. Delicious refreshments were served to the following who attended: at-tended: Mr. and Mrs. Karen Stubstad, Mr. and Mrs. Iliff Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Dahl Gardner and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Henrie. JUST-A-MERE FETES HUSBANDS SATURDAY Commencing with a ainnei party at the Frontier Grill, and later progressing to the Clair Larsen home for bridge, were members of the Just-A-Mere cluD and their partners. . The holiday event, which took place Saturday evening feted the following group ot guests: Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Walker Mr. and Mrs. Grant Killian, Mr. and Mrs. Verlen Labrum, Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Wilkins, Mr. and Mrs. Tom White, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Jensen, Jen-sen, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Old-royd Old-royd and Mrs. Reva Owen and her son, Dick, Seasonal decorations, including includ-ing a lighted tree and a Santa Claus centerpiece scene, added to the festivity of the occasion. FAMILY DINNER HELD The home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Rasmussen was the scene of a family dinner party on Christmas eve, when an evening eve-ning of merry-making was enjoyed, en-joyed, highlighted by the appearance ap-pearance of Santa to distribute gifts to everyone. Present were: Mrs. Mary Rasmussen, Ras-mussen, of Twin Falls, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs, Clyde Davies and Mr, and Mrs. David Rasmussen and families, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs, Art Rasmussen and family, of Kemmerer, Wyo., Mr. and Mrs. Ward Abbott, of Provo; and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Law-rence Pike, of Leeton. A miniature sugar-block house, Santa Claus and sleigh served as an attractive centerpiece, center-piece, accented by lighted yellow yel-low tapers. BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED A highlight of the mid-holiday season was the birthday party, honoring Elmer Eldredge, presided over by Mrs. Eldredge last Friday night. A lovely dinner was served at small tables having poinsetta centerpieces. An attractive pink and white birthday cake was served for the dessert course. Following dinner, canasta was played by the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Steve Bellon, Bel-lon, Mr, and Mrs. Clem Labrum, Mr, and Mrs, Marvell Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nelson, and the hosts. TWINS HAVE BIRTHDAY Jack and Jill Buchanan, twin children of Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan, observed their second sec-ond birthday Sunday, December Decem-ber 31, when a group of neigh-borhod neigh-borhod children were invited for the special occasion. The white birthday cake was frosted with pink icing and topped with blue candles. A gay afternoon was enjoyed by all the tots present. FIRESIDE CHAT A New Year's eve Fireside Chat was enjoyed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Hullin-ger, Hullin-ger, with Dr. R. V. Larson as guest speaker. His subject was "Good Counsel." Opening prayer was given by Sharon Anderson, closing prayer, by Rulon Anderton, and singing was led by Renee Lebrum. Following an evening of games, dainty refreshments were served to Mrs. Junior Moysh Mrs. Clair Labrum, Miss Eva Sprouse, Misses Pat and Marilyn Mar-ilyn Wills, Miss Peggy Oldroyd, Misses Erma and Eva Eldredge , Mrs. Marvin Oldroyd and the guest of honor. HOLIDAY PARTY The intermediate Sunday school class of the Baptist church held a mid-season holiday holi-day party at the home of Ferris Fer-ris Winn last Saturday evening, when games and delicious party par-ty refreshments, in keeping with the seasonal theme, were enjoyed. en-joyed.
