Show Mrs. Garda Seeley Relief Society Holds Social The Relief Society gathered at the home of President Lucille Winkler for a little social so-cial on Thursday afternoon. Gifts were exchanged and lunch was served to the following': Zella Goodrich, Laura Seeley, Mina Goodrich, Sylvia Goodrich, Good-rich, Essie Lambert, Berneice Atwood. Lois Goodrich, Alice Mathews, Thelma Cook, Jennie Goodrich, Vivian Powell. Mar. tha Thorsen, Verona Goodrich, ;Mrs. M. Verona Winkler. Mrs. Alice D. Gale, and Mrs. Calista Cook. ' Mr. and Mrs. Max Burdick ar.d two children, of Roosevelt, and Mrs. Dora Burdick visited here Monday with relatives. The Primary officers gave the Primary children a party Wednesday afternoon. Games ana square dancing were enjoyed en-joyed by all present, and refreshments re-freshments were served. Mrs. Delia Fotus and Mrs, Florence Digby, of Salt Lake City, visited in Bluebell and Upalco Thursday, John Asa Webb, who is attending at-tending school at Carbon college col-lege in Price, spent the holidays holi-days here with his parents. Among those attending funeral fun-eral services in Roosevelt for Lynn Orser were Mrs. Hazel Goodrich, Henry Allred, Leslie B. Goodrich. Little Donald Broadhead, of Duchesne, is staying here with his aunt and uncle, Martha and John Thorsen, while his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Broadhead are in Salt Lake City, where Mr. Broadhead underwent un-derwent a major operation. Fireside Chat was held on Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Thorsen. Laurence Ward, of Mt. Emmons told i about his missionary ex periences in tne Hawaiian Islands. Is-lands. He also showed a quilt that was made by one of the members there. He explained j how the people were different. I Present at the Fireside were Lucy Powell, Orland Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Goodrich, Vern Bird, Ardis Goodrich, Beth Winkler, Afton Smithson, Maxine Winkler, Mr. Ward, and Mr. and Mrs. John Thorsen. Lunch was served. Miss Nellie Stevenson, of Price, visited a few days here with her sister, Mrs. Hazel Goodrich. Mr. and Mrs. Hillery Workman Work-man and sons. Wane and Keith, returned home Monday, after spending the holidays in Salt Lake City with relatives. Miss Jolene Nielson came home Monday after spending the holidays in Salt Lake City with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Waldemar Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Nielson are spending the winter win-ter in Salt . Lake, where Mr. Nielson is receiving medical care. Mr. and Mrs. James Babcock are the proud parents of a baby girl born Dec. 23. Mrs. Babcock Bab-cock returned home from the hospital on Thursday. Funeral For Infant Hunsaker Funeral services were conducted con-ducted on Sunday at 2 p. m. for Arnold Dewayne Hamaker, infant son of Arnold and Marie Jenkins Hamaker, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jenkins, with Bishop Gardner Goodrich officiating. "In The Garden," was sung by Laura Seeley, Betty Bet-ty Goodrich and Garda Seeley; invocation, James Bird; speaker, speak-er, Joseph Swasey; closing song, quartet, "Lullaby, William O. Larsen, Gardner Goodrich, Betty Bet-ty Goodrich and Garda Seeley; benediction, John Thorsen. The grave was dedicated by Earl I Murray. The baby was born Friday and lived only a few hours. Surviving are his father, who is serving in the U. S. Army in Japan, his mother, and one sister, sis-ter, Sharon, of Bluebell; four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jenkins, of Bluebell, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hamaker, of Ogden. |
