Show Commissioners In Scouting Hold First Meeting Scout commissioners of the Uintah and Roosevelt Scout districts dis-tricts gathered last Saturday at the Roosevelt stake house for the first Uintah Basin Commissioners' conference. With Robert Murdock, Roosevelt district commissioner, conducting, the five-hour conference was aimed aim-ed on giving the commissioners a knowledge of how they should serve the troops and posts under their leadership. The ' morning session was centered cen-tered around the goals we are striving for with every troop and post. During the afternoon the commissioners were given methods meth-ods to accomplish those goals. Participating from the the Roosevelt Roos-evelt district were: James E. Bacon, Ba-con, district chairman; Robert S. Murdock, district commissioner; and the following neighborhood commissioners: Leo Haueter, Cliff Olson, and Keith Mortensen. Blaine Moore, Uintah district commissioner, headed up the delegation del-egation from Vernal. Also included in the group were: vice-chairman, Louis Fife, and neighborhood commissioners com-missioners Wallace Trottiere and Ken Peck. The conference was under the direction of Rulon Dean Skinner, Uintah Basin field executive. |
