Show BIRTHDAY DINNER HONORS 73-YEAR-OLD A birthday dinner was held at the James E. Hamblin home on Feb. 9th. The honored guest was Mrs. Mary Hamblin, who was celebrating cel-ebrating her 73th birthday. The dinner was given by the children of Mrs. Hamblin. Speakers at Sacrament meeting Sunday evening were Marion Bowman, Bow-man, Gordon Evans and Mr. Mitchell, all of Roosevelt. Melviri Mower furnished a vocal solo. Visitors home over the weekend week-end from school were James Parry Par-ry from Provo vocation school, and Bettie Mower from the USAc! Mrs. Kay Thompson's mother and sister-in-law, Mrs. Shirl Williamson Wil-liamson and Mrs. Wade Williamson, William-son, of Vernal, visited at the Thompson home on Wednesday. Mrs. Kay Thompson returned to Vernal with them for an overnight visit at her parents' home, returning return-ing on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Blanchard went to Salt Lake City on business busi-ness this week. Ray Brown attended a meeting on Monday in Altamont. Those attending Union meeting at Roosevelt were: Bishop and Mrs. James E. Hamblin, Bishop James E. Larsen, Bishop James E. Hullinger, Frank Thompson, Donna, Hazel and Beth Brown Myna Mitchell and Ha Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Vem Freston,' who recently returned from a visit to Arizona, told Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Mower they had seen their son, Gale. He won three races the day they went to watch the races and was doing all right. |
