Scout Chairmen Meet With Uintah Leaders Last Thursday night James E. Bacon, Roosevelt district chairman; chair-man; Elvin Barker, Duchesne district dis-trict chairman; and Fay Miles, Moon Lake district chairman, were guests of honor at the Uintah district dis-trict Scout-Explorer Circus. Completing the list at the Circus Cir-cus were three boys, each representing repre-senting his scouting district. From Roosevelt was Scout Kent Sullivan Sulli-van of Troop 751. Jerry Moon, Duchesne Explorer, represented the boys of his district. From the Moon Lake district was Explorer Ronald Miles. The guests joined A. Alwyn Call, Uintah district chairman, and Explorer Lee Caldwell to record a 15-minute radio program entitled, entitl-ed, "Scouting in the Uintah Basin." Bas-in." The program was released at 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 1955, over KJAM. After the radio program, the visitors were entertained at dinner at the home of Mr. dinner at the home of Mr. Call. During the evening the boys and men viewed the Uintah District Circus in which participated 130 Scouts and Explorers, before a total to-tal crowd of 558 for the Court of Honor. Occasion for the gathering of the four key men of scouting in the Uintah Basin was the nationwide nation-wide celebration of the famed Boy Scout Week.
