Show ivhiterqcks Madeena Smith 66th Birthday A family get-to-gether and birthday birth-day dinner were enjoyed at the J. O. Hoops' home on Sunday. The occasion was Mrs. Hoops' birthday. She was 66 years old that day. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wheeler are back in Whiterocks after spending the winter in Salt Lake, where they both received medical care. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Walkup have gone to Vernal to make their home. Gene has employment at the Red Wash oil field. Miss Eileen Robb attended the MIA program at Roosevelt Tuesday Tues-day night. George Walkup was in Vernal Wednesday as a juryman. Mrs. Esther Harvey and Mrs. Bill Workman of Rangely, were visiting Mrs. Verna Hoops on Thursday. Mrs. Myrtle Hoops has been sick with the flu this last week. Mrs. Nora Christensen and son, Gary, went to Rangely, Colorado on Sunday to visit Marinus Christensen, Chris-tensen, who is herding sheep in that part of the country. Mrs. Mable Allen and Madeena Smith made a trip to Roosevelt on Thursday .to secure curtains and Iineoleum for the church kitchen. The Bill Hoops family were dinner din-ner guests at the' Leland Moos-man Moos-man home Friday evening. PRIMARY CONFERENCE Ward Primary conference was held Sunday evening. Those visiting visit-ing were Mrs. Viola Harrison of the stake and the Primary presidency presi-dency of the Tridell ward, Izola Haslem, Thelma McKee and Ve-loy Ve-loy Morirll. |
