Show 4-51 Club fleets The Myton 4-H Club, the Eager Beavers, held their second meeting, meet-ing, Saturday, March 26th at the home of Aften Richens. Discussion Discus-sion of each member's prejoct for the coming summer was brought before the meeting and their books were set in order. Seventeen members mem-bers were present, including some new members and their leaders, Aften Richens and Jack Neilsen. Reporter of the club is Newell Richens. BRIDGE CLUB MEETS Mrs. W. H. Linck entertained Saturday afternoon at a bridge dessert luncheon with the follow ing club members present: Mrs. Floyd Lamb of Roosevelt, Mrs. Rex Lamb, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. Wesley Jenson and Mrs. James Dalgleish. High score price was awarded to Mrs. Robinson. AUXILIARY LEADER VISITS LOCAL GROUP Mrs. Erma Sutteer, department vice president, American Legion Auxiliary; Mrs. Tina Wilkins, district dis-trict president, and Wm. Sutteer of Roosevelt were Myton visitors Tuesday evening. While the ladies attended a committee meeting at the home of Mrs. W. R. Harris, Mr. Sutteer visited Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish. Lavar Peterson and Max Peterson Peter-son came from Pasco, Washington last week, where they have been putting in the crops on Lavar's new farm land.. Max came to get his wife and children and take them to their new location, leaving leav-ing Thursday. Lavar remained until un-til Friday for a longer visit with his family before leaving with his loaded truck to continue work on his farm. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Dean and children left last week to make their home in Salt Lake City, where Mr. Dean will be employed. Lynn is post commander of the American Legion, Post No. 5, and his duties will be taken over by Vice-Commander H. C. Cooper. REGULAR MEETING HELD The American Legion, Wm. R. Sands Post No. 5, held their regular regu-lar meeting Friday evening at the , Legion Hall, with Vice-Commander H. C. Cooper in charge of the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Richardson and family, who have been residing resid-ing in the home of Mrs. Leonard Harris, will move to Roosevelt later lat-er this week, since Mrs. Harris has returned from Salt Lake City to occupy her home. Mr. Richardson Richard-son is employed at the Rangely-Salt Rangely-Salt Lake Pipe Line Pumping Station Sta-tion on South Myton Bench. Mr. and Mrs. Clive Bowden moved to the Ted Cooper house last week and are now settled in their new home. Mrs. P. E. Church went to Kanab Ka-nab last week to visit her daughter daugh-ter who is HI. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Hamilton have purchased the John Zirker ranch in Arcadia and expect to move their family there soon. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Giles and children, who have been residing on the W. R. Harris ranch east of town, are moving to the former Jennings Solomonson ranch in Pleasant Valley, where they will make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Don Giles and family will move from South Myton Bench to take over the Harris ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Frandsen were greeting friends during the weekend, coming from Salt Lake City, where Mr. Frandsen is em- j ployed, to prepare their personal j property for shipment to Salt Lake City. They sold their house in Myton and will make their home in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Adams, of Roosevelt, were guests Friday evening eve-ning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish. Miss Joan Funk, a student in her junior year at Wasatch Acad- ! emy at Mt. Pleasant, is spending her spring vacation with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. George Funk, 1 arriving Saturday night. Mrs. Funk will accompany Joan as she returns re-turns to resume her studies, Tuesday. Tues-day. Tom Dyches was a weekend guest at the George Funk home as a guest o their daughter, Joan. Tom is attending the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where he is a member of the freshman class. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Mott and family, who have been caring for the W. R. Harris property in Pleasant Pleas-ant Valley during the past several sever-al months, returned to Myton late I ATTEND CONFERENCE , Mrs. Lionel Babcock, Mrs. Fred Todd, Miss Geraldine Richardson and Alan Todd accompanied Rev. Harry Gordon of Vernal to Salt Lake City Friday, where they attended at-tended the Presbyterian church conference, held Friday and Saturday. Sat-urday. Alan remained until Sunday Sun-day to visit at the home of Mr and Mrs. V. T. Rice while the other members of the group returned re-turned Saturday evening. last week and are now settled in their old home. Mr. and Mrs. John Solomonson and children spent the weekend visiting relatives in Salt Lake City, returning home Sunday evening. ' |
