NEW YWMIA LEADERS Mrs. Marvin Kettle was sus-' sus-' tained as president of the YWMIA and Mrs. Lawrence Brighton as manual counselor and Miss Myrtle Collins as activity counselor. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Clark, of Salt Lake City, formerly of Ballard Bal-lard ward, were visitors here on Sunday, March 20, with their son, Paul, who is living at the Spencer I Squire home and attending school at Union High. They report that their son, Ensign, who is on an LDS mission is laboring in Southern South-ern Illinois. Mrs. Tilintha Rasmussen and Mrs. Lora Asay met with fourteen MIA Maids to help them complete their work at the chapel, last Monday Mon-day evening. Mrs. Elton Kettle presented the Social Science lesson in Relief So- ciety on Tuesday, March 29. Roberta Burns, a former student stu-dent of Alterra, wrote to some friends to state she did not like the school at Moab, where her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ashley ! moved sometime ago. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hullingei received a phone call from Lewis-ton, Lewis-ton, Idaho, on Tuesday morning. March 29, that a baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Kent Gneit-ting. Gneit-ting. Mrs. Gneitting will be remembered re-membered as Lorraine Hullinger.. Mrs. Hullinger left on Thursday tc go to Idaho to assist in the home for a while. Mrs. Thomas Shisler spent several sev-eral days last week in the Roosevelt Roose-velt Hospital, receiving medical care. The whole family have had the flu during the epidemic. HIGH PRIEST PARTY The High Priests had a party , at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Le-land Le-land Angus Saturday evening, Mar. 26. There were twelve High Priests and their wives met to honor the birthdays of Mrs. Farrell Rasmus-sen, Rasmus-sen, Mrs. Alden White, Charles Bingham and Leland Angus. Games were played and refreshments refresh-ments were served. All who attended at-tended had a good time. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Miller, of Springville, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cook ( one day last week. Bryce White, who attended the winter quarter at the BYU is home now to assist his father on ' the farm. He made a trip to Oak-.' Oak-.' land, Calif, before returning home. I Thomas Jeppson, principal at Alterra, and Jesse Hullinger, prin-cipal prin-cipal at Avalon school, attended the Principals' convention at Salt Lake City last Friday. Mrs. Lynn Bracken is employed at the Christensen store in Roosevelt Roose-velt three days a week. ' Mr. and Mrs. Ralph O'Neil and baby spent Saturday evening at , the home of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bingham. Ercil Johnson was released on Sunday as a Sunday School teacher teach-er and Squire Mangum was sustained sus-tained in his place. |
