Show Mr. and Mrs. Theron Leavitt, accompanied by Mrs. Orrin Gardner Gard-ner and Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Memmott, Mem-mott, were Salt Lake City visitors last Friday. Mrs. R. S. Jordan and daughter, Joyce, are in Salt Lake City, where Joyce will resume studies at the University after pending spring vacation in Roosevelt. Visitors last weekend at the home of Dr. and Mrs. D. G. Man-tyla Man-tyla were Dr. Mantyla's parents, from Salt Lake City. The Mantylas have recently purchased the Howard Harrison home. Mrs. Wm. H. Ruppel, Jr. drove to Mt. Pleasant last Friday to get Dick Ruppel, who is attending Wasatch Academy and is home for spring vacation. Enroute she visited vis-ited her daughter, Yvonne Stewart, Stew-art, at Spanish Fork. Returning home with them were Sam Thompson Thomp-son of Lapoint and Jim Johnson of Duchesne. Also home for vacation ' are Louise Gentry and Joan Funk I of Myton. Prime Jacobs, of Craig, Colo., spent the weekend here. He took his father, John Jacobs to Loa, Friday, where the latter will reside re-side with a daughter, u Roosevelt and Randlett visitors last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. 0 Keith Todd of Salt Lake City. Weekend guests in Roosevelt were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Peterson Peter-son and children, Joe and Paula, of Provo. They were overnight guests Friday at the E. J. Nixon home and Saturday at the Ralph Shields home. Main purpose of their visit was to attend the testimonial tes-timonial honoring Kenneth Nickell and Milton J. Mecham, who are both leaving for LDS missions. Douglas Malin, USAC student, has been home visiting this week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Malin. Arriving Sunday for a week's visit at the R. V. Larson home was Dr. Larson's mother, Mrs. Rebecca Larson, of Smithfield. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Alexander and son, Raul, left for their home in Provo recently, after Mrs. Alexander Al-exander and son had spent a week at the Lorin Alexander home. Jack enjoyed the weekend with his parents par-ents before returning to Provo with his family. Salt Lake City shoppers Wednesday Wed-nesday were Mrs. Paul Stringham, Mrs. Gordon Harmston, Mrs. C. L. Ashton, Mrs. Bennie Schmiett and Mrs. Robert Huish. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Whitlock returned re-turned home Sunday, after spending spend-ing a few months in California. They returned to attend the Arch Larsen funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Bowman were Salt Lake City visitors last Monday. Among local residents sporting new automobiles are Mr. and Mrs, Presley Timothy, who are driving a new Oldsmobile maroon and cream combination, and the Boh Rosecrans, who have a new yellow and cream Ford. Mrs. Zelma Beardall and son Paul, of Springville, spent the weekend at the home of Mr. anrj Mrs. John Swenson. A Salt Lake City visitor Tuesday Tues-day was Mrs. Omni Winterton. Mr. and Mrs. J. V. McLea lefl Tuesday morning for Logan, where Mr. McLea attended the USAC board meeting.. |
