Show LeetoeBeeeett I VACATION REPORTER DELMA LONG RETURN HOME Back from a deep sea fishing trip are Mr. and Mrs- Ray Dillman and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Houston. A lucky bunch were they ten in all and everyone caught at least three, mostly tuna. Mrs.. Dillman caught a 14-pound tuna and Mr. Houston caught a 12-lb. bass. At Caliente, Mexico, they saw the bull fights, where there were about 12,000 spectators. At Los Angeles there was a party given for them. They visited the Forest Lawn Memorial' Park and saw the Crucifixion; the L.D..S. Temple at Los Angeles, and visited vis-ited many friends and relatives. Mrs. Fern Oberhansly returned Friday evening from Salt Lake, where she has spent 11 days attending at-tending a school for telephone operators. op-erators. It is the first time Roosevelt Roose-velt has had a representative at-the at-the classes. Miss Carol Hall gave a party for the younger set of Bennett and Tridell. After swimming at the Dye Pool they motored to the Jolly Corner on the Whiterocks road and enjoyed a weiner roast. From Tridell were, Carla Stanley, Stan-ley, Wanda Sprouse, Alice Glines, Kay Morrell, Sherlene Harvey and Ronald Goodrich. From Bennett were, Bob and Lorain Long, Gary, Carol and DeRay Hall and Tommy Tom-my Anderson. George Houston and Marvin Hamaker spent four days on Mos-by Mos-by Mountain moving the cattle to the higher range. Mr. and Mrs. Max Todd, of Ballard, .spent Wednesday evening at the home of Lorraine Bolton, visiting. , Mrs. Berle Gurr was taken1 to the Vernal Hospital, where she made a new addition to the family, fam-ily, a baby girl. While away Berle moved the belongings from his home here, to the lovely brick home he purchased from Marion Harrison at Neola- Dale Hamaker and Douglas Bolton Bol-ton were baptized Sunday at the Roosevelt font, by Lorraine Bolton. Bol-ton. Miss Beverly Long is visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Blaine Morrell at Tridell. Sunday was the birthday anniversary anni-versary of Lorraine Bolton. His mother gave a family dinner at her home in his honor. Mr. and Mrs. Noel Prease and daughter, Marion, of Vernal, were visiting at the home of W. H. Col-tharp, Col-tharp, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs- Floyd Harmston motored to Moon Lake, Thursday to see Mrs. Rosabell Morrison, who has just returned from the LDS Hospital, after having been very ill. Miss Kaye Bowen returned Friday Fri-day evening from Salt Lake City, where she had been for a week, visiting friends. She returned with Fern Oberhansly. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmston went to Rangely to visit a friend, Mrs. Kathryn Calvat. |
