Show j Returning To USA I Philip M. Todd, C, N., son of ' Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd, is anxi-I anxi-I ously awaiting the date in August I when he will once again be sta-j sta-j tioned in the United States. The young seaman enlisted in the Sea-bees Sea-bees branch of the Navy Dec. 4, 1953 and received his basic training train-ing at San Deigo Naval Station. 1 He left in April, 1954, for Guam, aboard the U.S.N.S. Gen. M. M. Patrick troopship. He has, been receiving training with heavy equipment, having passed his tests for operating the steam shovel, the crane and catipill'ar. He anticipates anti-cipates leaving Guam in late Aug. and will have a six-week leave during September and October, when he will come to Myton to visit his parents. At the end of his furlough he will return to his station, completing his enlistment in December. Mrs. William H. Koehler of Vernal Ver-nal arrived here Saturday for a weekend visit as a guest of Mrs. Bliss Lott. Her host of friends are enjoying her short visit. Dinner guests at the home of Mrs., Bliss Lott Sunday were Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. George Philips, who is visiting here from New York City, and Mrs. William H. Koehler of Vernal. Mr. and Mrs., DeVere Hancock and children accompanied by his mother, Mrs. William Hancock of Salt Lake City, returned Wednesday Wednes-day from a week's vacation trip to Yellowstone Park and to Wy oming where they visited with relatives. Mrs. Ed Relitz, a former Myton resident, spent Saturday and Sunday Sun-day as a guest at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Fred Todd. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish joined Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Walker Walk-er and Miss Jean Walker of Salt Lake City at Wolf Creek Pass Sunday, where they enjoyed a picnic and the delightfully cool weather. Mrs. Jay Smith is visiting in Salt Lake City with her daughters where she enjoyed the July 24th holiday and parade. Mrs. Lena Lisonbee who is attending at-tending Henagers Business College came home for a weekend vacation vaca-tion from her studies. |
