Show Have Swim Party The following Bee Hive girls, Colleen Hatch, Kay Stanley, Margie Mar-gie Gardner and Larane Kettle, with their leader, Mrs., Carol Betts, also Mrs. Beth Evans and Myrtle Collins, enjoyed a swimming swim-ming party at the Dye Pond last Tuesday. After their return they had a picnic at the church. The party was in honor of Colleen Col-leen Hatch, who expects to leave the ward in the near future, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Larsen and four small daughters enjoyed a two-day visit in Salt Lake City last week. The girls were very delighted de-lighted in being shown the Zoo, various parks and a trip to Lagoon. La-goon. They also visited Mrs. Lar-sen's Lar-sen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Brady.. PINK AND BLUE SHOWER Mrs. Erna Stolla, assisted by Mrs. Osa Hullinger, honored Mrs. Amber Muny at a pink and blue shower at the Stolla home Thursday Thurs-day afternoon, July 21.. A good crowd was out and they spent some time singing songs. Dainty refreshments were served. Mrs. Muny received some very nice and useful things. The Special Interest group in MIA was entertained last Tuesday evening by having Maung KoKo, the Burma exchange student, talk to them and also answer many questions concerning his country. He was staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Nielson. Clark, the one-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elbie Clark, was chosen as one of the ten one-year-olds to enter the final contest for babies at the U.B.I.C. next week. Six of the Cub Scouts, with their leader, Mrs. Squire Mangum, enjoyed a swimming party Monday,- July 18. There were six oth- ers in the group. They enjoyed roasting weiners and having cookies cook-ies and punch. John H Cook and Mrs.. Ernest Betts were speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday evening. Forrest Evans, of Maeser, rendered a solo, accompanied by his mother, Mrs. Ward Evans on the piano. Mrs. Ora Stevenson and daughter daugh-ter and her girl friend from Tooele, Too-ele, were visitors at the home of I Mr., and Mrs. Earl Gardner over the weekend. A group of the young people had an outdoor party down on the river for Miss Marion Gardner, Gard-ner, who was home over the weekend. |
