Show Music Festival Given By M.I. A. Tuesday evening a music festival fes-tival was presented under the direction of the M.I.A. The following program was enjoyed: Harmonica solo, Joyce Bol-! Bol-! ton; base horn solo, Lowell ! Long; vocal duet, Mary Margaret Horrocks and Beverly Long; pi-1 pi-1 ano solo, Lorraine Long; vocal 'solo, Alan Gray; trumpet solo, Billie Haslem; vocal solo, Del-I Del-I ma Long; piano solo. Patsy Gray; song, Frances Ann Col-tharp Col-tharp and Susan Oberhansley; piano solos, Bobby Long, and Frances Horrocks. A square dancing demonstration demonstra-tion was given by the Boot and Slipper dancing club. Mrs. Faun Coltharp made a trip to Rangely Wednesday. Malcolm N. McKinnon, of Salt Lake, has been here for several days in the interest of, his oil and mineral right holdings. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Long came from Logan to spend Mother's Day with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harm-ston Harm-ston entertained at a dinner party, par-ty, Thursday evening. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jordan, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Harmston, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ferron. The evening was spent playing canasta. Word has come from Leland Mitchell that he has been taken from the front lines in Korea to a hospital. He is suffering from a back injury. We have been notified that the name of the location for an oil well in Section 24 has been changed from the Hayden No. 1 to the Leeton No. 1. The land owners in the Bennett Ben-nett area held a meeting at the word house Wednesday evening, I May 9. Forty-one people attend-j attend-j ed. |
