Show Senior Girls Complimented At Annual BPW Tea Mon. Senior girls of the Roosevelt and Alterra high schools were honored at the annual Senior! Girls' Tea held Monday evening at the home of Mrs. R. S. Jordan. Jor-dan. The event, sponsored annually by the Roosevelt Business and Professional Women's club, was attended by approximately 100 i guests, including senior ' girls, faculty members, members of I the board of education and BPW I members. Covering the tea table was ai gorgeous Madiera linen cloth, with" a low crystal bowl of cala-lilies cala-lilies and pale pink roses forming form-ing the centerpiece. Corresponding Correspond-ing pink lighted tapers in crystal candelabre, a . crystal punch, bowl and silver tea service completed com-pleted the attractive table arrangement. ar-rangement. The pink and white color scheme also predominated in the dainty refreshments served. serv-ed. Presiding at the tea table the forepart of the evening were Mrs. Clair Ashton and Mrs. Homer P. Edwards. Pouring the 1 remainder of the evening were Mrs. J. O. Orser and Mrs. Reva Owen. In charge of the serving were Miss Virginia Burton. Miss Flora Wogec and Mrs. Harvey Riggle. In the reeciving line at intervals inter-vals were Mrs. Myrtle Lambert, retiring president; Mrs. Lon A. Logan, new president; Mrs. Parley Par-ley Rawlings, Mrs. Vola Hancock, Han-cock, Mrs. Paul Murphy. Mrs. Norman Murphy and Mrs. John Blaine. A musical program, under the direction of Miss Esther Wogfcc, was presented by the following: Miss Wogec, Mrs. Vola Hancock. Clyde Johnson, Mrs. Norman Murphy and Mr. and Mrs. Ben-nie Ben-nie Schmiett. Mrs. Howard Harrison was in charge of the dining room. The general committee for the tea included Mrs. Jordan, as chairman, Mrs. J. O. Orser, Miss Wogec and Mrs. J. V. McLea. |
