Show Alterra Presents Musical Program The music department of the Alterra High school delighted a large audience Wednesday evening eve-ning when the following program pro-gram was presented under the able direction of Clyde Johnson. Three numbers by the band, "The Avenger" and "Joy Riders," Rid-ers," marches by K. L. King; and "Over the Stars," waltz by the same author. 'Lullaby," clarinet solo, by Gloria Thompson; "Tonette," saxaphone solo, by Delsc Dur-fee; Dur-fee; "Triumphant," march, by the band, followed by "Our School," also a march. The Alterra mixed chorus presented "Carmencita" and "Dark Eyes." The junior band played four numbers: "Junior Band," "Choral," "Shadowland," "Our School," and "Carnival King." Clarinet solo, "Tales from the Viena Woods," by Wilma Gilstrap. The girls' double trio gave "Magnolia Bloom," and "Moonbeams." Saxaphone solo, "Valse in E Flat," by Noble Clark; band march and overture, "Rifle Rangers" Ran-gers" and "Aurora," by the senior sen-ior band, with the closing number, num-ber, "The, Conqueror," by the two bands. |
