Show SOCIETY JUST-A-MERE Charming hospitality prevailed prevail-ed at the candlelight supper at 'which Mrs. Ted Jensen entertained enter-tained members of Just-A-Merc Wednesday evening. Places were marked for twelve guests. Bridge formed the diversion following supper with prizes being be-ing won by Mrs. Darrell Walker, Mrs. Clair Larsen, Mrs. Grant Killian and Mrs. Jack Zimmerman. Zimmer-man. JR. CULTURE CLUB Mrs. Elmer Eldredge and Mrs. Douglas McKinlay were hostesses hostess-es to members of the Jr. Culture Club at the' American Legion Barracks, Monday evening. Dec. 8. Following a short business session ses-sion Mrs. Paul Murphy entertained enter-tained the group with a delightful delight-ful review of the book, "Norman Rockwell, an Illustrator." The evening terminated with a delicious dessert luncheon served to 16 members and guests. THOUGHT AND THIMBLE A delicious luncheon and an evening of sewing formed the diversion di-version when Mrs. Joe Snyder entertained - five members of Thought and Thimble at her residence res-idence last Friday evening. Plans were formulated for the club's annual Christmas party. NEIGHBORHOOD SEWING On Wednesday evening, Dec. 3, members of Neighborhood Sewing club were delightfully entertained at the home of Mrs. Parley Rawlings. A delicious salad course luncheon was served with .places marked for twelve guests. : BRIDGETTE Dessert luncheon was featured by Mrs. Parley Rawlings when she entertained members of Bridgette club at her residence on December 4. Covers were laid for 17 guests. Following luncheon, tables were arranged for bridge. Prizes were won by Mrs. Johnnie Cook, Mrs. John Bourne, Mrs. Bennie Schmictt and Mrs. Gordon Harm-ston. Harm-ston. FRIDAY BRIDGE It was luncheon for twelve at the Les Mullins residence last Friday evening when Mrs. Mul- lins entertained members of her bridge club. Prizes during the evening were won by Mrs. Wayne Malin, Mrs. Sam Weiss, Mrs. C. L. Ashton, Mrs. Gordon Iiarmston and Mrs. Glenn Wyler. GINGELL-URESK NUPTIALS MY'ION (Special) In a lovely love-ly ceremony . performed Sunday afternoon, Dec. 7, at thi home of the bride's parents, Miss Arba Gingeil, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl G:ngcll became the bride of Antone Urcsk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Malt Uresk, Sr. Slake President Pres-ident Ray E. Dillrnan officiated at the nuptials. For her wedding the bride chose a light brown tweed suit with accessories in a larker shade of brown. Her bridal bouquet was of white carnations and pink roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Jo Ann Gingeil. Louis Urcsk acted as best man for his brother. In the lale afternoon the new-lyweds new-lyweds were honored at a reception recep-tion and dinner at the home of the bridegroom's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Uresk left Monday Mon-day afternoon for California on a two-weeks' honeymoon. Upon their return they will be at home to friends at their ranch home cast of town. DELLA BOLTON WEDS BENNETT (Special) Adding Add-ing interest to nuptial news this week is the announcement of the marriage of Miss Delia Bolton, Bol-ton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mervin C. Bolton, and Glenn Parker, of Salt Lake City, who I were united in a double ring ceremony, performed November 26 at the home of the bride's parents. Married at one in the afternoon, after-noon, Mr. and Mrs. Parker were honored guests at an informal reception in the Bennett Ward hall at 2 p. m., and greeted relatives rel-atives and friends at a wedding dance the same evening. On November 27 they were honored guests at a family dinner din-ner served at the home of the bride's parents. They left Nov. 30 to make their home in Salt i ! Lake City. I NORMA MAE SHIELDS WEDS LYNN HANSEN ARCADIA (Special) Of interest in-terest to their many friends was tuc weadnig of Miss Norma Mae Shields, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wanless S. Shields, and Lynn Ray Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen, Sr., of Mt. Emmons. The young couple were united in a candlelight ceremony cere-mony Dec. l.at the home of the bride's parents. Bishop Marion Ross, an uncle of the bride, performed per-formed the ceremony in the presence pres-ence of members of the immediate immed-iate families and a few close friends. For her nuptials Miss Shields chose a gown of white satin fash-innnH fash-innnH with a fitted bodice and full skirt. Her fingertip veil fell from a wreath of orange blossoms, blos-soms, and she carried a bridal bouquet of red and white carnations. carna-tions. She was attended by Miss Betty Lee Holgate, as rnaid of honor, and Miss June Larsen and Mrs. Shirley Mecham, as bridesmaids. brides-maids. Herscl Iorg, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, acted as best man. Following the ceremony a tempting wedding supper was served to the nuptial party and guests. Mr. and Mrs. Hansen are now at home to their many friends at their residence in Mt. Emmons. AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY A regular business meeting was held by the American Leg-ion Leg-ion Auxiliary Wednesday evening, eve-ning, Dec. 10, at the American Legion Barracks; after which 23 members enjoyed a Christmas party with the exchanging of gifts. An Auxiliary emblem locket was presented to Mrs. Amber Page as a token of appreciation for her work in the Auxiliary last year. A delightful luncheon was , ' served with officers of the Auxiliary Aux-iliary acting as hostesses. |
