Show Soil Conservation Service Moves The local Soil Conservation Service office was moved last week from the Huish building on the north end of Main street to the Huish Duplex north of the McKinlay Motor company. The new office will provide more adequate space for the Soil Conservation Service personnel per-sonnel assigned to the Roosevelt office. The office will be divided into two functions the work group office, and the work unit office. Mr. Howard M. Ivory is in charge of the work group activities ac-tivities which includes the functions func-tions of the SCS offices at Vernal, Ver-nal, Duchesne and Roosevelt. Mr. Morris W. Lewis is in , charge of the work unit office which provides technical services ser-vices to people in the Roosevelt area. Other personnel now working at the Roosevelt office are: Grant E. Chugg, civil engineer: John L. Swenson, Jr., soil scientist; sci-entist; Dale R. Ashby, engineering engineer-ing aid; Paul Bcardall and Richard Rich-ard Iorns, student engineering aids, and Erma R. Eldredge, clerk. Soil Conservation Service personnel per-sonnel assigned to this office are assisting the Uintah Basin' Soil Conservation district which is a local organization with Alden D. White serving as chairman of the board of supervisors. Technical services are available avail-able to the people of this area to plan and install treatments for soil and water conservation' problems. prob-lems.
