Show Gusher Frances Semken Mrs. Helen McFarland has returned re-turned to Gusher to live, after having made her home in Salt Lake for the past 2Vz years. Miss Jean Nebeker, of Provo, spent the past week with relatives rela-tives and friends in Vernal, My-ton My-ton and Gusher. Harry Dean was taken to the Veterans hospital in Salt Lake last week. Gene Ferguson spent the weekend week-end in Salt Lake with friends. Mr. and Mrs: Albert Semken spent Sunday and Monday in Provo with their children. They were accompanied by their grandson. Fjeddie Roberts. Orin Duvall is home from Ft. Lewis, Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Pappas, Mrs. Dellcs Jensen and Mr. C. W. Bodily met with the school board in Vernal last week in an attempt to arrange transportation by bus for their children during the coming1 school year. Mrs. George Dean, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dean went to Salt Lake for the weekend. John Long and Bud Davis have cleaned the yard at the Gusher Union church. Neldon Nyberg was called to repair a bad break last week in the Uintah River Irrigation Co. canal. Mr. and Mrs. Burns Hallet entertained at . a birthday for Mrs. Mary Eskelsen on Friday, i in commemoration of her 82nd , aniversary. Among the guests were Mrs. Eskelsen's sisters and brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Robison, Wanship; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Phillips, Oakley; and Mrs. Will Pendleton, Oakley. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Covington Coving-ton and baby, of Oklahoma, are staying with the II y Domgaards Geraldine Walker, of Vernal, spent the weekend here with relatives. rel-atives. Mrs. Eva Rushton is back after af-ter a visit in Sandy and Salt Lake City. Mrs. Joe Arnold is sufficiently improved that she is able to be up, after having' been confined to her bed for several months. Frankie Ferguson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Del Ferguson, fell last week while pole vaulting, injuring injur-ing his jaw and knocking out four teeth. |
