The following were present, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mrs. James Dalgleish, Mrs. Lee Cooper, Mrs. Wm. Lincke, Mrs. Wm. Koehler, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. W. E. Kron-quist Kron-quist of Ft. Duchesne and the hostess. Ward Reunion The Ward is preparing for their ward reunion to be held April 25th. They will serve a chicken dinner at 8 p. m. after which the mutual will sponsor the entertainment. The young folks under 12 will be served Wednesday at 4 p. m. Gires Lecture Mrs. Anna McDonald of Eureka Eur-eka met here Tuesday evening with the Eastern Star women. A banquet at the Presbyterian church was served by the Ladies Aid members. Then the business meeting was held. Wallace Dennis and Mrs. How-1 ard Dennis left Monday for Texas Tex-as to visit Howard, Don Dennis and George Stewart. Mr. Dennis will visit three weeks and Mrs. Dennis expects to remain with Howard. Syril Dennis received word that his son, Kay has been promoted pro-moted to F 1-c. Kay met his cousin, Lloyd Gentry some ' where in the Pacific. Pfc. Hadden Cooper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cooper is home on a furlough. Hadden's sister, Mrs. Geane Ponton came from Salt Lake City to visit with him and her parents. Jack Giles, S 2-c, son pf Mr. and Mrs. James Giles came home on a furlough Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish visited in Duchesne with Mrs. Dalgleish's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Hart Saturday, their wedding wed-ding anniversary. Mrs. Acel Bingham and son left Wednesday for Spokane, Washington, where she will join her husband. Acel will be stationed sta-tioned there until July. Mrs. J. W. Blankcnship of Vernal is visiting her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Koehler. Mrs. Elsworth Cox, went to Hebcr on business last Wednesday. Mrs. W. E. Burton left Saturday Satur-day for Union to visit her mother Mrs C. A. Holmgreen and daughter, Mrs. B. O. Beltz. Bert Caldwell of Vernal was visiting in Myton Friday. I Mrs. Carrie Parker went to Vernal Wednesday to visit with relatives and see her son, Pvt. Arthur Brine. Dale Cooper of Salt Lake City is going to live with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cooper this summer. Mrs. Alice Merkley and Mrs. Wilma Merkley and two children of Jensen were visiting Wilma's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Par-rish Par-rish and family Sunday. Mrs. Mary D. Miller of Salt Lake City came in Tuesday for the Eastern Star meeting. She visited friends until Friday. Mrs. Thomas Gentry of Ioka visited friends here Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Broom visited in Vernal Friday with his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Mar-vin Broom and family. Loyal Broom will leave soon for the Armed Forces. Sergeant Richard Broom, who is in the Medical corp is home on a furlough. |
