Show War Manpower Commission Office Open In Roosevelt In response to numerous questions ques-tions regarding the new United States Employment Service office of-fice that has just recently opened in Roosevelt in the C. H. Lab-rum Lab-rum building on main street, Virgil H. Keate, manager, said today that the office was opened in this locality to render a much i needed employment service to the people of this valley. The employment service acts as a medium of exchange between employer and employee and helps to retain a personal relationship rela-tionship between the two, and that our main objective at the present time is to direct the much needed labor to essential activities; to accomplish this we must tap every available source to obtain the workers and direct them to these war activities. We solicit employers who are in need of help to place an order with this office and also for workers who are seeking employment em-ployment to register for their respective skills. Mr. Keate also stated the office of-fice keeps a complete list of job opportunities all over United States, but especially for Utah. At the present time the greatest need-is for unskilled workers, typists, stenographers, office clerks, etc. It is not necessary for workers to migrate to other areas seeking employment. By making use of the service at the Roosevelt USES office complete job information can be secured regarding wages, living facilities and any. other information that may seem pertinent to the worker. work-er. It is and will continue to be the policy and objective of this office, Mr. Keate said, to first fill the needs of the Uintah and Duchesne area. If, however, the worker cannot obtain work for his rpquis'.te skill in this area, i then of course it will be our responsibility re-sponsibility to place him where his skill can be used. |
