Show SALLIE GORE CALVERT COOPER MYTON Funeral services for Sallie Calvert Cooper, 65, who died Sunday, Sept. 21, at 3 a. m. at her home of a heart ailment following a lingering illness, were held Tuesday afternoon after-noon at 2 p. m. in the Myton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Waller Cable, of Vernal, con ducting. Musical numbers included a vocal solo, "Garden of Tomorrow," Tomor-row," sung by Floyd Ross, accompanied ac-companied by Rudy Krissman, accordianist, and a vocal solo by Mrs. Lionel Babcock, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Ethel Baril. J. Harold Eldredge, of Roosevelt, was the speaker. Closing prayer was offered by Rev. Cable. Mrs. Cooper was born May 3, 1882 at Harrodsburg, Kentucky, a daughter of Hayden and Sallie Morgan Calvert. At the age of 10 years she came do Utah with her parents, settling at White-rocks, White-rocks, where her father conduct ed an Indian trading pum. i 1902 the family moved to Myton where Mr. Calvert engaged in the mercantile business. During these years Mrs. Cooper received her education and also traveled extensively. She was married to Lee Cooper Coop-er at Myton, March 17, 1910, and has made her home here and on their ranch near Myton since that time. ' Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband and one son. Hay- ! don C. Cooper, of Myton; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Hunt, of Myton; Mrs. Sallie C. Jenson and Mrs. Jean C. Ponton, of Salt Lake City; 9 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Clarke, Los Angeles, Calif.; 3 brothers, Geo. Calvert, Morgan Calvert, and Jack Calvert, of Salt Lake City. Burial was in the Myton City cemetery under the direction of the Dillman Funeral Home. Wm. Harris, Wm. Preece, Sr., Milton Lott, Fritz Schleinitz, Fred Todd and Homer Robison served as I pallbearers. |
