Show Funerals CLYDE UNDERWOOD GUSHER Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 22, at 2 p. m. at the Gusher Union Church for Clyde Underwood, 69, who died Friday at 3 p. m. of a heart ailment, after being ill since the preceding Tuesday. Musical J numbers included a duet, "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine," sung by Marnell and Inez Rush-ton, Rush-ton, of Gusher, and "Some Day He'll Make It Plain," sung by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dillman and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johnson, John-son, of Roosevelt. Scriptural readings were by Harry Gregory, as was the closing prayer. Mr. Underwood was born October 5, 1877 in Casey, Iowa, a son of A. W. and Martha Jones Underwood. He married Estella Allen, July 28, 1902, in Lynn county, Kansas. They came to the Uintah Basin 30 years ago, settling at Gusher, where Mr. Underwood engaged in farming and the mercantile business. He retired this summer. He is survived by his widow, who resides in Gusher; a son, Arthur Underwood, Los Angeles, Calif., and a daughter, Mrs. Elsie El-sie Domgaard, Gusher; two brothers, broth-ers, Guy Underwood, Gusher, and Harry Underwood, Wolf Creek, Oregon, and 4 grandchildren. grand-children. Burial was in the Roosevelt City cemetery under the direction direc-tion of the Dillman Funeral Home. Hyrum, Ivan, Neal and Guy Domgaard, Arthur Underwood Under-wood and Alec Duvall acted as pallbearers. |
