Show i . Tridell Mrs. C. E. Merkely Thursday the D.U.P. held its meeting at the home of Mrs. T. 1 J. Ellingford. The business meeting meet-ing was directed by Mrs. Rose Lee Cook, the lesson was given by Nellie Merkley. Luncheon was served by the hostess. Last Wednesday Mrs. Sarah Harvey and Mrs. Mary Glines went to Salt Lake City with their grandsons, Dennis and Jay Harvey. Mrs. Ardella West, from North Carolina, has been visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George E. Simmons. Mrs. Devear Ross and daughter, daugh-ter, Elaine, left Friday morning for Salt Lake, where Elaine received re-ceived medical treatment. They returned Saturday evening. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Hooley, of Pleasant Plea-sant Grove, are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Simmons. Mrs. Hooley is Mrs. Simmons' youngest sister. Miss Uvon Harvey, Dennis and Jay Horrocks and Mr. and Mrs. Max McConkie left Thursday on a trip to Southern Utah. A surprise party was given Thursday evening honoring Mr. 'and Mrs. William K. Harvey, Melons and ice cream were served to the many friends who attended. . Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Henderson, of Vernal, were guests of Nellie Merkley Sunday afternoon. A large crowd of MIA workers work-ers from Tridell attended the convention at Roosevelt Saturday Satur-day evening and all day Sunday.
