Show A Proclamation WHEREAS, freedoms of press, speech, assembly and worship are the bulwarks of democracy, and WHEREAS, daily development of events and policies in the international picture are con, stantly reminding us of the wisdom wis-dom of those freedoms and the necessity of maintaining them, and WHEREAS, the newspapers ol the nation and of our State have Sin and are continuing to do a magnmcant job In supporting ?hose8 freedoms as r well as Mn winning the war and endeavoring To maintain the peace and WHEREAS, it is fitting to salute the newspapers and the men and women who PU.DUS" Sem for the job they have done and to encourage them to sue cess In the still greater job that lies ahead, NOW, THEREFORE, I, HERBERT HER-BERT B. MAW, Governor of State of Utah, do designate tho period - October 1st to October 8th 1947, inclusive, as NATIONAL NATION-AL NEWSPAPER WEEK for Utah, and I urge our citizens to become familiar with and to evaluate the great contributions made by the newspapers of our State and to accept and acknowledge acknowl-edge the slogan that, "Your Newspaper Serves Freedom by Serving Yqu."
