KIRK WILKINS The Paul Wilkins residence was the scene of a delightful informal in-formal tea Monday evening when Mrs. Wilkins entertained in compliment to her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kirk C. Wilkins, a recent bride. A pink and white color scheme was followed throughout the house, which was charming with its soft lights and myriad bouquets. . In the serving room the pink and white scheme was developed develop-ed with the tea table artistically arranged with a white lace cloth centered with white gladioli and pink rosebuds in a low cut-glass cut-glass container. Pink tapers in cut-glass holders illuminated the scene. Pouring during the evening eve-ning were Mrs. J. V. McLea, and Mrs. R. S. Jordan, Mrs. Norman Murphy and Mrs. Clyde Johnson. . Assisting Mrs. Kirk Wilkins in receiving her guests were Mrs. Etta Odekirk, of Salt Lake City, grandmother of the bridegroom, bride-groom, and Mrs. Paul Wilkins. Mrs. Paul Murphy greeted guests at the door. Miss Jan Odekirk, of Salt Lake City, and Miss Lila Lee Odekirk, cousins of the bridegroom, bride-groom, were in charge of the gift room. Mrs. Les Mullins was in charge of the dining room, with Mrs. Ferrell Wilkins, Mrs. Ray Scholes, Miss VaLois Long, Mrs. Velma Todd and Miss Elma Obcrhanslcy assisting with the serving. Soft background music throughout the evening added a festive atmosphere. Vocal selections selec-tions were sung by Mrs. Dewey Jessen. Miss Donna Rae Labrum, Miss Esther Wogec, Miss Mary Ellen Stewart and Mr. Avard Rigby, of Vernal. Accompanists were Mrs. Jack Mohlman and Mrs. Manwaring, of Vernal. Piano selections were played by Miss Betty Jo Sprouse, Mrs. Bennie Schmiett, and Mr. Clyde Johnson. Miss Rose Brokaw, of Myton, played a violin selection accompanied by Mrs. O. A, Dart, also of Myton. Mrs. Dewey Jessen Jes-sen was in charge of the musical program. , , MARRIAGE ANNOUNCED News of interest to their many friends and relatives is the announcement an-nouncement of the marriage of Miss Dorothy Nichols, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. V. Nichols, and Howard Wiscombe, son of the late John E. Wiscombe and Mrs, Margaret Wiscombe. The ceremony was solemnized in the Salt Lake L D S temple on September Sep-tember 15. Following the ceremony the young couple were honored guests at a wedding breakfast at the Hotel Utah. Other guests present included Mr. and Mrs. Nichols, Mrs. Margaret Wiscombe, Wis-combe, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wiscombe, Wis-combe, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Burgess, Bur-gess, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Wiscombe and Mrs. Ray E. Dillman. Mr. and Mrs. Wiscombe spent ! their honeymoon in Denver, Colorado, and are now making their home in Provo, where Mr. Wiscombe will complete his studies at the Brigham Young University. BRIDGETTE Members of the Bridgette club enjoyed the hospitality of Mrs. Clem Labrum last Thursday evening eve-ning at her home. Rosebud centerpieces, served as an attractive setting for the delicious dessert luncheon which was served at small tables. Places were marked for Mrs. Bill Nelson, Mrs. J. J. Cook, Mrs. Marvell Nielson, Mrs. Steve Bel-Ion, Bel-Ion, Mrs. Ned Bellon, Mrs. Bennie Ben-nie Schmiett, Mrs. Parley Raw-lings, Raw-lings, Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, Mrs. Reed Wiscombe, Mrs. Alden Alexander, Al-exander, Mrs. Mont Killian and Mrs. Lynn Labrum. NEIGHBORHOOD SEWING A dessert luncheon and sewing sew-ing formed the diversion Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, Sept. 17, when Mrs. Clifton Laris entertained members of the Neighborhood Sewing club at her home. Her guest list numbered five, including Mrs. J. S. Rawlings, Mrs. Louis Laris, Mrs. Neldon Nybcrg, Mrs. George Hacking and Mrs. Stan Hall. FRIDAY BRIDGE Mrs. Louis Corbridge entertained enter-tained members of the Friday Bridge club at the R. S. Jordan residence' on September 19. Beautiful roses lent their charm to the rooms where a delectable de-lectable dessert luncheon was served at small tables, centered with striking arrangements of pink and white gladioli and snap dragons. FAREWELL PARTIES HONOR BERNICE PALFREYMAN Miss Bernicc Palfreyman was the motif for several parties prior to her departure Tuesday to accept a position as Home Demonstration Agent in Sanpete San-pete county, stationed at Manti, Utah. Friday evening Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Mrs. Paul Murphy and Mrs. Alva C. Snow were hos- tesses at a Pot Luck party at the Rawlings' residence honoring Miss Palfreyman. The evening was spent in making a scrap-book, scrap-book, with each of the 17 guests present composing one page. Miss Palfreyman was presented with a steam-iron as a farewell gift. On Sunday evening Miss Palfreyman Pal-freyman was guest of honor at a delightful party at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Murphy. The evening was spent in table games and light refreshments were served. Guests present to extend their best wishes to Miss Palfreyman included Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Nyals Andrcason, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dillman, Mr. and Mrs. Ethan Eth-an Nealson, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nor-man Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. John Swcnson, Mr. Woodrow Church, Mr. Curtis Walton, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ivory and Mr. and Mrs. Parley Rawlings.
