Show WALES I By Special Correspondence j A very enjoyable Valentine basket dance was given in the ward amusement amuse-ment hall, Thursday evening. February Febru-ary 14, under the auspices of the M. I. A. with the community-activity com mittee in charge. The evening's entertainment began with a one act play entitled, "Matilda's "Matil-da's Elopement." The cast included Luena Davis, Stanley Price, Kenneth Anderson and Jay Larsen. President Jane Washburn of the Y. L. M. I. A. was in charge. As the crowd arrived each girl presented pre-sented a basket with a lunch for two and a Valentine inside for indentifi-cation. indentifi-cation. After the play the baskets were auctioned off and at lunch time each was claimed by the bidder who tile with the young lady who presented the basket. At 9:30 dancing began and continued contin-ued until 11:30 when punch was sold and lunch eaten. Ptvis Miss Anna Turpin of Fairview has been visiting here the past two weeks as the jiurl of Miss Thelma Tarpin. |
