Show W.W. McKirahan Passes Away j The many Utah friends of Dr. W. W. j McKirahan will be grieved to learn of his death in New Concord, Ohio, Monday morning. Vhil" helegraphic advises to friends here did not state the cause of his! death, it was known that Dr. McKira- i ban had suffered a severe attack of j flu last fall and that complications : had since set in and his death probably prob-ably resulted from them. Dr. McKirahan was principal of Wasatch Academy from 1908 till 1911, and again from 1914 to 1917. The in-; tervening three years he spent at Col-: umbia University, where he received his doctor's degree. He was dean at Westminister Col-Vge Col-Vge in Salt Lake where he spent ten years, from 1917 to 1927. The last 'wo years he has been dean of Muskin- i gum College. New Concord, Ohio, of which he was a graduate before com-'n com-'n to Utah. During his residence in Mount Pleasant, Dr. McKirahan was a leader in the civic, social and religious life of the community and served one I term in the city council, and was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of this city. He is survived by his widow Mrs. Winnifred Hutton McKirahan, and ' three adopted children, Chester, Betty, and Harold McKirahan. |
