Show , SPRING CITY By Special Correspondence At a special stockholders meeting of the Horseshoe Irrigation Company held Saturday, February 16, 1929 at the City Hall, the following officers were elected to serve for a period of two years: Vivian Larsen, presidenl ; Maybert Strate, vice president; Aaron Brough, director four year term; Jess Blain, Orrin Jensen, H. E. Hansen, and George S. Jensen, directors for two year term. This special meeting was made necessary, as not enough stock was represented to conduct an election at the January meeting. Mrs. Lynn Barney, who has suff'.r-ed suff'.r-ed for some time past following an attack at-tack of the Flu. was taken to the- Provo hospital for treatment. The Twenty-sixth Quorum of Seventy Sev-enty are planning an elaborate social and dance to be given at the Victory Theatre, Tuesday April 21st. They have extended invitations to the local elders quorum and to all pre- siding stake officers, together with the I Bishoprics in the district covered by the 26th quorum. During the week a number of our young men and their wives sponsored a "chicken feed" and dancing party at the Victory. The many invited guests enjoyed the "eats", especially chicken with trimmings. trim-mings. j Darrell Chiistensen, son of Mrs. Ca?' Christensen, until recently a resident of Spring City, but lately residing in icenterfield, died of Scarlet Fever. I The body was brough to Spring City for burial. i The boy's father died about a year 'ago of pneumonia. The family have the sympathy of all. |
