Show j SPRING CITY j I By Special Correspondence Mr. and Mrs. John Peterson have gone to Wyoming to visit with their son Glen for a few weeks. The Spring City Roller Mill was set on fire Friday, May 16th when lightning struck the telephone wire. Some of the machinery was damaged. dam-aged. Mr. Schofield, the miller, succeeded in extinguishing the fire. Young Richard Sorensen who was rendered unconscious and whose horse was killed from under him in the same electrical storm, is reported to be improving from his burns. Mr. Daniel Bradley who spent the winter in Nevada, is here visiting vis-iting his sister, Mrs. Ed. Smith, Mrs. Owens and two sons of Roosevelt were guests of Mrs. Emma Em-ma Plumley last week. Mrs. N. C. Luna 01 Nephi vsited in Spring City for a few day this week. Mrs. Agnes Crawford has gone to Murray to visit with her granddaughter. grand-daughter. Vernon, the 20 year old son of James R. Nielson was operated on for appendicitis at the Aird Hospital Hos-pital in Provo last Saturday. He is reported to be improving. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Carlsen oi Eureka motored to Spring City last week to spend a few days with Mr. Carlson's mother, Mrs. Mina Carl-,son, Carl-,son, and other relatives. Mrs. Chris Peterson of Fairview is a guest of her aaugnter, Mrs. vern Bills. Miss Maxine Dalton of Marys-vale Marys-vale is here visiting her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Peter Sorensen. Dean Nunley left Saturday for alt Lake City where he has employment. em-ployment. Mrs. Mac Bills entertained Sunday Sun-day at dinner in honor of her birthday birth-day anniversary. Mrs. Simon T. Beck entertained her children and grandchildren at dinner, Monday, May 19th, the occasion oc-casion being her birthday anniversary. annivers-ary. Miss Helen Watson who has been the music teacher of the Gunnison High School is now at home with her father, William E. Watson. |
