The most keen competition in tht riisses of animals shown came in senior registered cow class. In L class Peter Sundwall took 1st, Kchard Mills. 2nd, Henry Jones, irf Albert Madsen, 4th. In the mde senior cow class Henry Jones 1st John L. Bench 2nd, Albert Mad-sen Mad-sen 3rd, J. C. Pritchett 4th. Very ten interest was shown in the messing of production contest. Ia this contests cows were exhibited from the herd of Albert Madsen. Only one person of the sixty who attempted to guess the production of these five cows placed the high cow first. So the prize which was i years subscription to the'Holstein World given by Mr. Mathiesen wen;, to Amasa Rasmussen. The ten months record of these cows in the Dairy Herd Improvement associa-. associa-. tion ranged from 409.7 butterfat down to 293 pounds of butterfat. The point emphasized in the contest, con-test, is conformation and production produc-tion do not always go togethehr.
