Nine of their ten children were present, also a large number of grandchildren. Mrs. M. Cox has gone to Bountiful Boun-tiful to spend a few weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Young The lesser Priesthood of the Fair-view Fair-view South ward took charge of the ward meeting Sunday, May 13. After the opening exercises Reed Lassen psesided. The following program pro-gram was given: talk on "Ordination "Ordina-tion of the Priesthood," Reed Lassen; Las-sen; scripture reading, Eddie Min--cr; scripture reading, Worth Bench; "Restoration of the Aaronic Priest-hocd," Priest-hocd," Lamont Briggs; piano duet, Arthur and Ray Nielson; "Spiritual Growth through Performance of Ability of Teacher," Robert John- ' son; "Privileges of the wriest," Ned Hansen; cornet solo, Morris Rasmussen; Ras-mussen; "After. One Hundred Years' Chad Cox; "Tithing," Geo. i'. Olson. In the North ward Weldon Rigby took charge of the meeting where the following program was given: Talk cn Tithing, Don Barker; reading read-ing from Church History, Leslie Coombs; scripture reading, Ted Jones; "Oidination of the Priesthood," Priest-hood," Reed Barker; saxopfiohne solo, Arthur Day; "Duties of the Deacon," DeVon Sanderson; solo, Llcyd Clement; "Duties of the Teacher," Wilford Clement; talk by Bishop Jones; prayers were given by K. Mower and Ruel Rigby. Oli.Tord Jones, son of Bishop and Mrs. Henry Jones, was operated on for ap;endicitis at iiis home Tuesday. Tues-day. He is reported to be improving. improv-ing. Mr. Walter Cox who had his leg badly injured last week was taken to Provo Saturday where his leg was put into a plaster cast. |
