Show MURDER CHARGE FOR MINISTER. Accused of Killing Six People in Iowa in 1912. Red Oak, la Rev. George J. Kelly on March 12, surrendered to authorities here and was placed in county jail to await trial on a charge of first degree murder in connection with the "Vlllis-ca "Vlllis-ca ax murder" in 1912, when six members mem-bers of the Moore family and two visitors visi-tors were murdered at the Moore home. At the time of the crime, Mr. Kelly is said to have been in charge of n parish near Villisca. Since then he has been located at various points in Missouri Iowa and Illinois. County Attorney Oscar Wenstrand, to whom Kelly surrendered, would not disclose the nature of the evidence, but said a warrant for the minister's arrest ar-rest had been issued following the recent re-cent prolonged investigation of the murders by a grand jury here. |
