Show Mothers' Day Program The following program was given by the Spring City Sunday School in the tabernacle Sunday morning, May 13, in honor of Mothers' Day. Supt. William E. Robinson presided and conducted the program. Preliminary music Song, "Love at Home," Sunday School Invocation, Mrs. Nettie Clawson Duet, "Mother," Don Nybery and Burns Allred Song, "Sacrament Gem," Sunday-School Sunday-School Administration of Sacrament Concert Recitation, "Oh, My Father," Fa-ther," Sunday School Solo, "Mother Machree," Miss Lib-bie Lib-bie Acord Carnation Service, which consisted of the presentation of white carnations carna-tions to all mothers who were grouped group-ed on the stand, the older mothers occupying the place of honor, to the accompaniment of soft piano music. Miss Hope Blain, Miss Athlean All-red, All-red, Miss Emma Osborne, Miss Ida Covert, Miss Rhea Nyberg, Miss Grace Olsen and Miss Ruby Larsen, third-year intermediate pupils dressed dress-ed in white, marched to the stand and gave to each mother a beautiful white carnation, after which they marched to the stand and recited th following: "So let our white carnation fair A loving greeting to you bear, And may the fragrant flowers say Glad welcome all oifcMothers' Day" The Sunday School then repeated, "For Mother, Just For Mother, the White Carnation Wear" Brief Story of Moses' Mother, Blain Larsen Scripture Reading, Exodus 20:12, Athean Allred Brief Story of Samuel's Mother, Bernice Blain Song, "Oh, I Had Such a Pretty Dream, Mamma," the Misses Grace' Olsen, Ruby Larsen and Ida Covert Sentiment, Ivan Hansen Poem, Charles Larsen Sentiment, Nelson W. Aldrich Sentiment, Sunday School Closing Song, "Parting Hymn," Sunday School Benediction, Bishop Samuel Allred. There were sixty-five mothers in .attendance, each wearing a beautiful white carnation. |
