Show SOCIAL EVENTS Mrs. Fred Stansfield entertained Sunday evening with a- birthday, (Luncheon for her daughter, Roma's, ' fourteenth birthday anniversary. Those present were the Misses Fern Madsen, Helen Winters, Merle and Edith Aldrich, Grace Barton, ' May Carter, Inez Scoville, lone Car-. ter and Roma Stansfield. Miss Velma Tidwell entertained at a kensington Friday evening for the T. M. U. club. Grafonola music was enjoyed and a dainty luncheon served serv-ed to Miss Ruby Sorensen, Miss Viola Lindahl, Miss Eva Ericksen and Miss Deane Webb. Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Jorgensen were hosts at an elaborate dinner Tuesday Tues-day evening in honor of Mrs. Jorgen-sen's Jorgen-sen's birthday anniversary. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Jordan, Mrs. Charles Eatinger, Miss Ethel McCormick, and Miss Lydia i ;Malmsten. I ; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beckstroni entertained at dinner Sunday, in hon. ; or of Mrs. Beckstrom's birthday anni- ' versary. Covers were laid for Peter Monsen, Mrs. Hans Poulson, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Johansen, Mr. and Mrs. , Erick Ericksen, Mr. and Mrs. Erick Gundersen, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Poul-, son, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde McClenahan, ' and Mr. and Mrs. Orange Aldrich. 1 .! The Woman's Missionary 'Society met Tuesday afternoon at the home; 'of Mrs. G. W. Brand. The devotion-als devotion-als were conducted by Mrs. O. F.' rWall and Miss Ruth Mitchell read ) a paper, "History of the Peace Move. ' ment." Mrs. H. F. Wall submitted ' ' her report as superintndent of liter-' ; ature. A chapter entitled, "A Pris-' j oner in Chains," was read fromthe book, "Comrades in Service." Ten . members were present. i- A very successful party was given j'at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Amasa 'Aldrich Friday evening by the Home Culture club complimentary to the club's first president, Mrs. W. W. McKirah&n, who will leave soon to make her home in Salt Lake. The , club colors, white and gold, were used in the decorations and ices. An excellent musical program was con-'tributed con-'tributed by the Misses Vera Merrill, Winona Cherry, and Melba Aldrich. Numerous games and stunts were played with first prizes awarded to Mrs.- Ed Johnston and J. W." Cherry, the consolation prize being won by Amasa Aldrich. An elaborate luncheon lunch-eon was served to thirty guests. |
