Show Ladies Working For Country's Vital Interests Recently a mass meeting of the citizens of Spring City was held for the purpose of agricultural pursuits. At this meeting an auxiliary organization organ-ization composed of ladies was effect, ed. A comittee. of twelve was selected select-ed on organization. The following la. dies are members of this committee: Elizabeth Larsen, Chairman; Helena Bunnel, Secretary; Manett Allred, Mary E. Acord, Maria J. Allred, Minnie Barney, Jennie C. Watson, Mary J. Aiken, Sarah E. Hyde, and Emiline Blain. This committee met and arranged tlie following suggestions to be dla-cussed dla-cussed in the homes with the uoUBe-wives: uoUBe-wives: Can you raise enough vegetables for your family for the coming year? Encourage the raising ot beans, corn, squash, peas, onions, carrots, beets, parsnips, cabbage and tomatoes. tomato-es. Discuss how best to preserve them. Care and preserving of fruits. Milk and its products. Encourage people to produce their own milk and butter. Put forth greater efforts in the raising of poultry and the preservation preserva-tion of eggs. Economize in the buying of meat. Produce the meat used on your table. Avoid all extravagance in the buying buy-ing of home supplies, especially In clothing. Encourage people in the remodeling remodel-ing and dyeing of discarded garments. The above topics were discussed in the homes by the following committee: commit-tee: Mary J. Aiken, Sarah E.
