Show r I MORONI 1 By Special Correspondence ! Funeral services for Mrs. Prudence Prud-ence T. Christensen were held Friday afternoon in the east ward chapel with Bishop Morgan Lamb oi'iicatir.g. The choir sang. "I Need Thee Every Hour," "O My Father" and "Rock of Ages". Prayers were offered by Fen-ton Fen-ton Draper and Amos Draper. The speakers were Franklin Hansen, Ephraim Nelson and Bishop Lamb. Violin solo, "My Task", by Miss Rheta Anderson accompan--ed by Miss Lola Anderson. Vocal solo, "Face To Face", Mrs. Floyd Chryst accompanied by Miss Marion Chryst. The grave was dedicated by Niels Lund of Fountain Green. The pallbearers were grand-;ons grand-;ons of Mrs. Christensen. A number of out of town people spent Thanksgiving Day n Moroni with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Draper spent Thanksgiving Day in Salt Lake Jity with their daughter. The Relief Society of both i-ards met conjointly Tuesday ifternoon in the east ward chapel or their lesson on "Traffic Laws nd Safety," which was given by atrolman Morris H. Anderson. Miss Chrysta Bolten and Miss larearet Beth Ward of Salt Lake City visited over the week end at the home of John Irons and family. fam-ily. Mr. Kenneth Cropper of Dividend, Divi-dend, Utah was the speaker in sacrament meeting Sunday in the East ward. His subject was "Romance of Geneology," Daughters of the Pioneers held their regular meeting at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Peterson Saturday afternoon. A splendid program was enjoyed by all present. Refreshments were served. Mrs. James Fescher entertained entertain-ed the artopic club Friday evening. even-ing. The lesson, "Words of the English Language Defined" was discussed by members. Mrs. Ben Cloward, a new member was sustained sus-tained in the club. Delicious refreshments were served. Mont Madsen and Marvin Anderson An-derson made a business trip to Salt Lake City Wednesday. |
