Show Training School to Feature Faxm Problem Discussion Agricultural and home economics econ-omics leaders from the 29 counties of Utah will attend the Utah State Agricultural college adult leaders training school to be held from December 5 to 14, William Peterson, Peter-son, director of the Utah Extension Exten-sion Service, reports. There will be from two to eight delegates from each county in Utah along with the state land-use land-use planning sub-committee, according ac-cording to Director Peterson. Wilford Day, Parawon; Mrs. Lottie Kimball, Kanosh; Wayne C. Whiting, Charleston; Mrs. Zula C. Nielson, Richfield, Utah; Mrs. Bessie Hexon, Wanship, Utah; Mrs. Nora J. Reid, Nephi; George M. Hunt, Bicknell; Elmer Land, Vernal; Mrs. A. B. Barton, Kays-ville; Kays-ville; Mrs. Ella V. Reeder, Brig-ham Brig-ham City; and George F. Stall-ings, Stall-ings, Eden make up this farm planning group. Leaders who meet in the training train-ing school will consider problems concerning Utah agriculture. Such items as the relationship of Utah's rural homes to agricultural agricultur-al problems, a place for Utah's young people, irrigation expansion, expan-sion, farm prices and marketing of farm products and how to improve im-prove prices and marketing conditions, con-ditions, the application of government govern-ment action programs to farming m the state, will be considered. Director Peterson, W. W. Owens, assistant director of extension ex-tension for agricultural; and Miss Myrtle Davidson, who are directing direct-ing the training school, expect a-bout a-bout 150 leaders to attend. Housing Hous-ing facilities will be provided on the campus for leaders who are present at the school. |
