Show J FAIRVIEW ( i By Sperlal Correspondence Christian Jensen Passes Away James Christian Jensen, 68 died at his home in Fairview Monday. Mr. Jensen was born March 14, 1871, at lairview, a son of Peter Christian and Kisten Sorenson Jensen. He lived in Fairview until his marriage to Amanda Mower, September 17, 1892 in the Manti Temple. Many years of then- married life was spent in the mining camps of central Utah They were the parents of six children. Surviving are his widow and four children: George Jensen, fairview; Sophrona Thorn bprmgville; Cyrus Jensen, Fair-view; Fair-view; and Maysel Madsen, Salt Lake; brothers and sisters, Peter Jensen, Kingston; Hyrum Jensen and Mrs. Amos Kelsey of Idaho-Mrs. Idaho-Mrs. Frank Williams, Montpelier' Idaho; Mrs. Byron Vance, Wilford Wil-ford Jensen, and Joseph Jensen Milburn. Funeral services were held in Fairview north ward chapel Thursday with Bishop Golden Carlston in charge. The choir under the direction of Stanley Brady furnshed the music and special solo's were given by Floyd Young and Frank Williams. Invocation In-vocation was by Peter Peterson and benediction by Loyal Graham. Gra-ham. Speakers who gave many tributes of honor and respect to his memory were: Bishop Henry W. Jones, Bishop John R. Graham and George Mower. Closing remarks re-marks by Bishop Carlston. Many beautiful flowers were given. Wilford Jensen dedicated the grave in the Fairview ceme-iery. ceme-iery. Relatives from many parts of Utah and a number from Idaho came to attend the services. Polley Ann Day Passes Away Polley Ann Noaks Day, 78, died in Elmo Sunday. She was a daughter of Hubbard and Susan Childs Noaks and the wife of Ira Alfred Day. She was born March 2, 1861, at San Bernardino, California. She has resided at Elmo for the past 20 years and was active in church affairs. The following sons and daughters daugh-ters survive: Bishop Ira Nelson Day, Lawrence; Egen E. Day, Castle Dale; David L. Day, Columbia; Col-umbia; Merrill Day, Elmo; Mrs. Amelia Papka, Boise, Idaho; Mrs. Polly Wilson, Elmo; Mrs. Bertha McArthur, Huntngton, Utah; Mrs. Annette Oviatt, Elmo; a brother and sister David Noaks, Logan, and Mrs. Unice Wright, Spring-ville; Spring-ville; 31 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending word from relatives. Burial will be in the Cleveland cemetery. |
