Show Funeral Service For Wm. Young Funeral services for William Young, who died Monday, November No-vember 20th at Salina were held last Saturday in the 2nd ward chapel at Salina, with Bishop Charles Mickleson in charge. "O Dry Those Tears" was sung by Drew Anderson, and the opening open-ing prayer was offered by Lee Anderson. "Our Yesterday" was sung by Miss La June Williams. William Olson of Mt. Pleasant spoke of his acquaintance with the Young family stating that he spoke at the funeral service of the father of William. Young 30 years ago. Mr. Olson spoke of the iionesty and integrity of the Young family and paid glowing tribute to his memory. A violin solo "The Rosery," was given by Miss Dorlene Rasmussen, ac-companiel ac-companiel by her mother, Mrs. C. Kasmussen. Stake Presdent S. R. Hunt spoke kindly to the family in their bereavement and gave a tospel sermon telling of what life means to us. Bishop Mickleson gave closing remarks and following follow-ing the song, "Coming Home" the benediction was pronounced by Leland Hansen. Interment was made in the Pioneer cemetery where Burke McArthur of Mt. Pleasant dedicated dedi-cated the grave. Many beautiful ilowers were banked high on the grave. Following the burial, the Salina Relief Society served luncheon to the family and relatives from out of town, at the ward chapel. |
