Show I BAKING CITY ' By Special Correspondence , Mr. and Mrs. Pratt Osborne, Mr and Mrs. Curtis AUred, Mr and Mrs. Ernal Allred and Hugh AUred motored to Ogden Tuesday io attend funeral services for their aunt, Mrs. Jennie A. Christensen. Mr and Mrs. M. M. Duncan and daughter, Barbara of Salt Lake City and Shirley Carlsen of kureka were guests over the week end at the home of their w-other and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Delane Carlsen. . They came here to visit their sister, Mrs. Elwood Madsen who s very ill at the home of her mother, Mrs. Mina Carlsen. The North Sanpete high school students presented a play, "The Jmx" at the Victory theatre, Wednesday evening. On account of the water shortage short-age the electric power plant has had the street lights turned off in the business block. Mr. and Mrs. Emil Olsen of Ephraim were dinner guests Sunday at the Daniel Jensen home. Postmaster, Rulen Blain is taking treatment at an eye specialist spe-cialist in Salt Lake City. Mr. Blain suffered a very painfull injury when removing a broken window from his automobile. A piece of glass went through his eyelid and penetrated into the eyeball. Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Smith has moved to Kenilworth where Mr. Smith has employment at the mine. Mrs. Stina Allred and Mrs. Frantz Madsen returned the fore part of last week from a visit with their daughter and sister at Evanston, Wyoming. The Spring City M. I. A. j sponsored a Thanksgiving dancing danc-ing party at the Victory hall on Wednesday, November 22. The many friends of Martin Walker and Mrs. Hulla Allred will be pleased to learn of their marriage on Wednesday, November No-vember ' 22. They are honeymooning honey-mooning in California. Mrs. Elizabeth D. Larsen spent Thanksgiving day in Moroni with her daughter, Mrs. Marvin Anderson and her family. Claude Acord has returned hoine from the Desert Livestock Company where he has been employed the past year. Devon Hermansen and family, Mrs. Mary Jensen and Rollow Jensen motored to Parawon to spend Thanksgiving day at the home of Joseph Hermansen and lamily. Joseph Beck and family were guests at a Thanksgiving dinner n Provo with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clif-i'ord Clif-i'ord Stubbs. After an appendicitis operation opera-tion on November 12 at the Mil-i'ord Mil-i'ord hospital Heinz Larsen has ueen removed to the home of his sister, Mrs. John Pauersen .n Beaver where he is very slowly slow-ly improving. The Spring City students at the B. Y. U. in Provo all came home to enjoy Thanksgiving with their families. Don Nyberg and family of Mountain Home were guests on thanksgiving day and the remainder re-mainder of the week at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Gil-bert Nyberg. Mrs. Deiane Carlsen was hos tess at a Thanksgiving dinner to a number of relatives at her home in Spring City. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Larsen, Loren Larsen of Salt Lake City; Harold Olsen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bemis, of Gunnison; Gun-nison; and J. T. Jackson and lamily of Ephraim; all spent Thanksgiving day with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Larsen. When Earl Jensen was leaving his work at Stockton, Friday evening for a week end visit in Spring City with his family, his car run into a horse just north of Fairview. Mr. Jensen escaped with a bump on the head, but the car is completely wrecked. |
