SAVAGE (Linda Kay Walker) Reception Honors Newlyweds After Salt Lake Temple Ceremony Recently One of the very lovely autumn wedding receptions was held recently re-cently in the Lindon AVard recreation rec-reation hall honoring the newly wedded Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Savage, Sav-age, who were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mrs. Savage is the former Linda Kay Walker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don B. Walker of Lindon. The groom is the son of the late C. A. and Mrs. Savage of American Fork. The bride chose for her wedding wed-ding a floor length gown of chantilly lace, with fitted bodice and three tiers of lace ruffling in back. The gown had long pointed sleeves and a sabrina neckline trimmed in sequins and seed pearls. Her fignertip length veil fell from a crown which was also trimmed with sequins and seed pearls. The bridal bouquet was three white gardenias surrounded with pink roses and stemmed down with white carnations with pink and blue ribbon streamers. The wedding party stood in front of two large white satin hearts which were edged in pink satin and topped with bells and blue satin bows. Attending heir sister as maid of honor was Diane Walker, who was dressed in a pink satin sheath She held a white bell to which were attached white carnations and trimmed with blue satin ribbon. rib-bon. Bridesmaids were Miss Gay-lie Gay-lie Anne Brockbank, Mrs. Bruce Rogers, Miss Brenda Blackhurst and Miss Jean Linebaugh, all who wore blue satin sheath dresses. dres-ses. The bridesmaids leach held white bells with white carnations and trimmed in pink satin ribbon. rib-bon. Their dresses were- the same as the maid of honor only the color was blue. Kenneth Savage, brother of the groom, performed duties of best man while Neal Savage stood beside be-side his mother in the receiving line. Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Savage chose almost identical pink lace sheath dresses adorned with corsages cor-sages of pink roses trimmed in blue ribbon. The three-tiered wedding cake was very attractively displayed on a table draped with a white silk cloth and trimmed around the edges with pink ribbon bows. A miniature bride and grooan topped top-ped the cake. On each sida were white bowls in which pink carnations carna-tions were eye-catchingly arranged. arrang-ed. As each guest entered the serving ser-ving area which was set off by pedestals with lighted candles and attached by pink and blue ribbon bows, they were ushered under an arch by Mrs. Dan Peterson. Pet-erson. The pink arch entering and the one leaving the serving area was trimmed with hanging bells and blue bows. Mrs. Dale Derver-aux Derver-aux was hostess in charge of serving. Refreshments were served ser-ved by Janet Brough, Ann Brough, Judy Walker, Dena Man-gelson, Man-gelson, Suzanne Walker, Annette Walker and Lorraine Cobbley. The serving girls teach wore corsages cor-sages of single carnations. Each serving table was centered with bowls of pink carnations with pink and blue candles extending out of the arrangement. Mrs. L. J. Theobald presided over the dream cake which was passed out to the guests as they left the serving area by tiny Terri Walker and Paula Deveraux. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Christiansen and Mrs. Kenneth Savage greeted guests at the door. Gift carriers included Ada Peterson, Marda Walker, Laurie Deveraux, Shannon Shan-non Savage and Carolyn Savage. Mrs. Stanley West and Mrs. Terry Holman presided over the guest book. These girls wore corsages of double carnations while all other hostesses wore large single white mums with pink and blue ribbons. Mrs. Kay Giles and Mrs. B Oobbley presided over ithe gift room while Mrs. Jess Walker directed guests to the trousseau room. The trousseau room was hostessed by Mrs. Lawrence Brough assisted by Mrs. Reed Orton, Mrs. Kenneth R. Gillman, Mrs. Verl Christiansen and Mrs. Dan Peterson. Although pink and blue was the color scheme chosen, many fall flowers were very attractively attrac-tively arranged in the various rooms and in spots throughout ,the recreation hall. These bouquets bou-quets were arranged by Jess Walker and Mrs. B Cobbley. Mr. Walker used many of his prize-winning prize-winning dahlias along with other fall flowers. Upon returning from a short honeymoon in Elko, Nevada, the couple are making their home in American Fork, where Mr. Savage Sav-age is In business. |
